The operating license of this taxi group which already has a stable name among their customers is suspected does not have legal authorization under their name. Instead of using their legal name, they used the operational authorization from another fleet that is Praja Taxi which fleet had gone.
This was revealed in taxi authorization discussion at the Parliament building between the council and the executive on Monday (January 25). In yesterday discussion involve within it was Bali provincial government delegation, Department of Transportation. Attending the meeting was the head of this department, Made Santa and Bureau of Economic Development as well as Bali Bureau of Municipal Law, Dewa Putu Puniasa. Meanwhile from legislative party there was the head of Commission I DPRD Bali, I Made Arjaya and his member Dewa Nyoman Rai Ardi.
From the statement of Economic Development Bureau and Law Bureau, Blue Bird which also bears the name of Bali taxi for all this time is under PT Praja Bali Transport authorization. Meanwhile the authorization of the company under Blue Bird Company’s name itself is not exist in Bali. The statement from those two bureaus is strengthened by the justification from the head of transportation division, Made Santa regarding the use of PT. Praja Taxi Transport. Thus, make the existence of Blue Bird is full of doubt.
Dewa Rai Adi after that meeting said that if Blue Bird in fact does not have an authorization then they should take action considering the problem. Since for all this time its operation is illegal.
“Blue Bird Company allegedly has no authorization. They for all along never under Blue Bird name but PT. Praja Taksi Transport and this make us should take an action toward this violation.” said Dewa Rai Adi.
The politician who comes from Tembok Tejakula Buleleng emphasized that with this condition means that Blue Bird activity is illegal but still they are allowed to operate. As far as to prohibit their operation for the mean time if it proven the truth that they have no authorization,” said Dewa Rai.
How if Blue Bird processing a new authorization? Dewa Rai Adi said that if they want to change the authorization into the clear ones it clearly needs initial process with new applicant. “Today’s authorization is unclear, was it true that they used Praja taxi authorization that had bankruptcy? They could not used Praja authorization whilst on the field the operating fleet was the Blue Bird one so the authorization should be under the name of Blue Bird Company,” assessed by Dewa Rai Adi.
“We had decided to form a group of people who will straightly check on field considering the certainty of Blue Bird illegal activity. Because it is clear that the mark on its car is Blue Bird still the authorization is belong to Praja Taxi,” add Dewa Rai Adi.
Head of Commission I, Made Arjaya make sure that yesterday meeting showed something wrong with Blue Bird operational. “We investigated it since there are praja names that identical with the government. We had asked it to the executive but still no clear explanation from them. Suspected the Blue Bird Company indeed has no authorization we then decided to check it straightly latter,” said Arjaya.
In relation with taxi authorization polemic before, Arjaya said that yesterday discussion will keep ascertain the most important study, the operational authorization that has already out should be pended first before it could implement whilst for the fresh one should be stop its principal authorization in the mean time.
In another hand, Blue Bird Bali party still could not be verified yet and when NusaBali contacted the office, the director was not there. According to the one of his staff, the director, Agus Subroto was not at the office. “It would be better if you call back tomorrow sir,” said one of Blue Bird staff yesterday.
